Bosnia, flag, 1878-1918, with coat of arms, size: 150 x 90 cm

Since at least 1844, yellow and red have been known as the official national colors of Bosnia (today: Bosnia-Herzegovina). This color combination was derived from the colors of the then Bosnian coat of arms from which remained valid until 1918. Normally, only simple striped flags with the state colours were used in Austria-Hungary. This theoretical flag shows the state colors, but supplemented by the at that time used coat of arms Thus, confusion is excluded.
