The People's Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk merged on 24th of April in 2014 to the Federation of Novorussia (New Russia). The project was stopped or discontinued on 20th of May in 2015 due to the lack of interest of the participating republics. This was officially the national flag of the Federation of New Russia from 2014 to 2015.
