Free City of Lübeck, flag from 1890 to 1937, size: 150 x 90 cm

This was the official flag of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck. The use of this flag was reserved for offices and authorities of the city. The eagle on the flag, the symbol of the German Empire, is reminiscent of Lübeck as a "Free and Imperial City".
