The Order of Constantine was founded by the Byzantine Emperor Isaac Angelus in 1190. Over time, it transformed himself into an order of merit. Its seat was originally Constantinople, since 1699 Parma, later Naples, and since 1860 it is Rome. The flag shows (like the coat of arms) the symbol of the order on white, although the color of the coats of the knights is light blue.
