The Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria with the Grand Duchy of Krakau and the Duchies of Auschwitz and Zator was an Austrian crown land of the Habsburg monarchy. From the 19th century, striped flags with the state colors were used in the crown lands. This flag shows the state colors of Galicia: red and blue. They are taken from the coat of arms of the country.
