The flag of the Duchy of Bar (Barrois) is a flag, that shows the image of the coat of arms of the Duchy of Bar. It shows a blue shield, sprinkled with golden crosses and over them two golden barbs. Nothing is known about the origin of the coat of arms. However, it possibly goes back to the year 1480, when Duke René II. of Lorraine became Duke of Bar. Bar and Lorraine were connected by this. After that, the duchy was practically just a title.
