The authority of the Inspector General of the Navy oft he German Empire was the second highest, only subordinated to the Commander in Chief. After the defeat in World War I, this authority was abolished on 10th of August in 1918. The last Inspector General was Grand Admiral Prince Heinrich of Prussia, a younger brother of the emperor.
