Friedrichsdorf is today a quarter of the town of Friedrichsdorf in the (Upper Taunus District) Hochtaunuskreis in Hesse. In the course of the Hessian territorial reform, the town of Friedrichsdorf and the previously independent communities of Köppern, Burgholzhausen vor der Höhe from the district of Friedberg and Seulberg were merged on 1 August 1972 by virtue of state law to form the present-day town of Friedrichsdorf in the Upper Taunus District.
