An 18th century style flag. The Bavarian flag was actually always a striped flag with horizontal stripes in white and blue (the colors of Bavaria) or a white and blue lozenge flag. Heraldic representations were historically not customary in Bavaria on the normal state flags or did not have not passed down. Except on the personal banners of the king.
