The People's State of Reuss only existed from 1919 to 1920. This theoretical flag combines the state colors of Reuss (in Thuringia) with the coat of arms. According to the rules, this flag could have looked like this, but it probably never existed, but it is decorative and avoids confusion, because the flag actually did not have a coat of arms, and it is in this way similar to the flag of today's Germany (FRG). "Reuss" is in German written as "Reuß".
